Location Security

 Location Security

As we all know, first impressions count, so when a member of the crew or public approaches a filming location, the first person they will encounter will be a security operative in a clearly identifiable high visibility jacket . All of our operatives will be consistently friendly, polite and informative as well as serving as a vigilant guard.

We acknowledge that our operatives represent the Movie Lot, the Location department and the Production as a whole and as such we strive to make sure that every situation is handled with professionalism and tact.

We offer trained and experienced Film, TV and Media operatives who work as part of a competent team to contribute in ensuring that the production runs smoothly, timely and within budget.

Unfortunately film sets and unit bases can attract unwanted attention. Items of value such as props, cabling, office areas and trailers can be at risk from theft if left untended.

The Movie Lot provide a full consultancy service where we offer options and solutions to potential risk areas. We pride ourselves on good communication on site and relay everything on radio from parking the crew cars to artists movements. The location manager on radio will fully know what is going on around them at all times. We mainly designate an operative to Unit Base through the project and he liaises with the Unit Manager, 2nd AD, Transport Captain, Caterers and Facilities to secure and run the Base in an efficient and safe environment.

We are happy to sign any standard confidentiality agreements as required and offer a bespoke public and employers liability insurance for Film and TV at £10 Million (rising to £20 Million) .

All of our operatives are trained to the highest standards, governed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).

Our Door Supervisors follow strict guidelines that conform to British Standards BS7690, Door Supervisors Code of Conduct and BS7858 security screening.
