Security on Location
Set Builds and Strikes |
We supply staff to secure set builds 24 hours a day and liaise and assist the location department in the arrival of portacabins, track way, fencing, marquees, generators and the construction department. The same staff will be kept on throughout the build, shoot and strike to give continuity and familiarity to the location manager plus a lead man will work closely with the location department. On the shoot days the security shooting crew would join the set build crew and together will make the shoot day run as smooth as possible. After the shooting has finished the set crew will secure and assist in the removal of all of the build. |

Lock Offs and Crowd Control |
Dealing with the general public and vehicles can be difficult with filming in areas such as roads, streets and town centres. We will assist the A.D department in locking off pedestrians, cyclists and quiet roads and will also assist police officers on busier roads and highways. On bigger films often large crowds will gather on location and barriers will be needed to keep them safely away from the filming. Our staff will secure the area and monitor the crowd and ask them politely to stay quiet when turning and no flash photography or as per the 1st assistant directors instructions. |
Fluorescent Jackets |
All our staff on location, studio or base will wear green fluorescent jackets or orange if working at railway stations or rail works at all times during work. This makes our staff visible at all times to crew and motorists and also acts as a deterrent to potential thieves or people up to no good. |

Technical Vehicles |
As well as parking the trucks and vans up as per the location managers instructions we will secure them during the shoot. Cones will be placed around hazard areas on the road and we will assist with any dispensations that need to be issued. |
Location Assistance |
We understand that the location department is a busy one and can not be everywhere on a busy shoot. Any of our staff on a location during a build or strike is effectively the eyes and ears to a location manager and a contact on site. He or she can pass on information, changes of plan or pass on messages to other departments. We can also help set up EZups, tables and chairs, tea and coffee, heaters and air con units, lights, protection inside a location, power for standbys, bins and cig buckets and are at hand to help when required. |
